How do I find out if I have a private lead or galvanized service line?

Your private service line begins at the property line connection and runs to the main water shutoff valve in your home. This line is the customer’s responsibility.

Louisville Water does not have information for all private service lines. You can check to see if we have information on the type of service line material on your property, or follow the steps to help identify your materials and upload your pictures so we can update your records.
