How do I set up leak alerts in Pure Connect℠?

Leak alerts spot water that never fully stops over a 48-hour period. These can be helpful in catching running fixtures or leaks. Here's how you can set them up in your account.

1. Log in to Pure Connect and hover over the "Overview Tab". 

2. Select "Edit Profile".

3. Select "Notifications" on the left-hand side. You can also get to this page by selecting "Notifications" under the Quick Links section on the Overview page.

4.  Next to "Leak Alerts," select "Add Email" or "Add Phone," depending on your preferred communications channel.

5. Type your preferred email address or phone number.

6. Enter the number of gallons per hour for which you'd like to be notified and press "Save Configuration" to set the alert. 

For context, the average American uses between 80-100 gallons of water per day. If you break that down per hour, the average person uses 4 gallons of water per hour. Now, make sure you multiple that by the number of people in your household. This will give you a good starting point for this alert. 

7. If you entered a new email address or phone number, you'll be prompted to enter a verification code.
